Job Summary:

Teach a variety of Graphic Arts and Digital Imaging Prepress Technology courses which include:
AA193 Digital Images Processes III
AA221 Graphic Design I
AA222 Graphic Design II
AA223 Graphic Design III
AA226 Typographical Design II
AA228 Portfolio and Professional Practices

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related field, plus a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Graphic or Visual Arts, which includes knowledge and experience in creation and modification of the following: Raster and Vector Graphics, Adobe Photoshop Images, Illustrator, InDesign and equivalent multimedia software; or seven (7) years successful experience working, training or consulting in graphic arts or design or a related field. Additional related higher education may substitute for experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Essential Duties:

Teach design and graphics courses, which may include both computer-based and non-computer courses.

Demonstrated, software knowledge and experience including the Adobe Creative Suite and in-depth knowledge of the Macintosh operating system.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of traditional design methods and techniques.

Exhibit good classroom management skills.

Maintain accurate student records and meet deadlines associated with student performance and administrative details.

Participate in college activities and professional development as well as other duties expected of adjunct faculty.

Other related duties as assigned.
