Job Summary:

This position is a remote position for the LBCC Online Campus, iLearn. Employees will work remotely for this position. Position is responsible for the engagement, inspiration, and guidance of students within the courses taught. Provide solid, student-centered feedback that assists students in achieving their Social Media certificate. Faculty must be committed to a continuous effort of improvement with regards to instruction, curriculum development, student and community college communication, student retention and engagement, and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of affiliations within the social media marketing field. Position teaches courses such as Social Media Technology, Social Media Communication and Human Relationships, Social Media Marketing, and Social Media Privacy.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Public Relations, English, Journalism, Marketing or a related area, plus the equivalent of 1 year full-time work experience in Social Media; or the equivalent of 4 years full-time work experience in Social Media; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Must be an Oregon resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in on-line teaching/training is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Requires the ability to work with staff and students.

Essential Duties:

Promotes excellence in instruction.

Identifies and meets the learning needs of the students.

Acts as a content expert/SME in the area of Social Media.

Evaluates student progress and competence.

Participates in the Social Media Advisory Board.

Works effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and successfully interacts with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education team.

Communicates effectively in oral and written English.

Keeps accurate grade and attendance records in the Learning Management System (LMS)
