Job Summary:

Provides classroom instruction for Driver Education program. Requires record-keeping and coordination with behind the wheel instructors and student activities.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Oregon driver’s license, current CPR/First Aid Card, teaching experience, and Oregon Department of Transportation Approved Instructor Certificate.

Requires successful completion of a background screening including criminal history, as a condition of employment. The college will conduct background screening on those not previously screened.

Essential Duties:

Using approved course content and student learning outcomes, teach driver education classes at one or more college and community locations as assigned: Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon, Sweet Home.

Promote an effective learning environment which contributes to each student’s success.

Maintain records as directed including student attendance.

Attend required continuing education conferences and/or workshops for driver education program.

Attend department meetings as scheduled
